Meet Maggie!

Maggie is one of four Irish Setters we rescued from an incredibly difficult situation. She and the others spent nearly 19 hours a day living inside a van, with very little opportunity to simply be dogs. Despite everything she’s been through, Maggie has an incredibly gentle heart and is ready to experience the love and stability she’s always deserved.

Maggie is a graceful, elegant girl with a calm and gentle demeanor. She has wonderful house manners, walks nicely on a leash, and is a pleasure to have around. She has a quiet confidence about her and brings a peaceful presence wherever she goes.

She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, she blossoms into an affectionate, loving companion. Maggie adores being close to her people and happily soaks up pets, cuddles, and belly rubs. She has such a kind, sweet soul that everyone who meets her falls in love.

Maggie gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys their company. She is also crate trained and potty trained, making her transition into her forever home much easier.

Irish Setters are known for their affectionate, loyal, and people-oriented personalities. They thrive as members of the family and love being included in everyday life. While they enjoy regular exercise and outdoor adventures, they are equally content relaxing with their favorite people after a day of fun.

Like all Irish Setters, Maggie will do best with a family that understands the breed’s needs. They require daily exercise, mental stimulation, and regular grooming to keep their beautiful red coats healthy and tangle-free. Irish Setters are happiest when they are part of the family and don’t do well being left alone for extended periods.
